Around seven towns in (Nimbo Ngwoko, Ugwuijoro, Ekwuru, Ebor, Enugu Nimbo, Umuome and Ugwuachara) were among the zones that the Fulani herders assaulted. 10 private houses and a congregation, Christ Holy Church International, a.k.a Odozi Obodo were likewise said to have been blazed by the herders. Vehicles and bikes were pulverized and local creatures murdered. A young fellow was smoldered inside a passenger transport having a place with one Ejima, child of a conspicuous man prominently called 'Are you there' close to the Christ Holy Church, Nimbo.
A casualty's story Kingsley Ezugwu; previous Councilor, Nimbo Ward 2, was one of the casualties of the assault. Talking from his clinic bed in Nsukka, Ezugwu said: "I was turning out from the house when I heard the group chime ringing. I was running with a companion to recognize what the ringer was about, just to see around 40 Fulani herders equipped with modern firearms and cleavers. "They sought after us, killed my companion and shot at me a few times however missed. They got up to speed with me and utilized cleavers on me until I lost awareness." He said one of them later found that he was alive and approached the others to complete him off. They overlooked him. He said he crept until a decent Samaritan helped him to the doctor's facility.
